For over ten years Milwaukee Hot Club has been playing acoustic-style jazz in the tradition of the late, great Django Reinhardt. Their music is a high energy mix of swing and latin rhythms, from ballads to barn burners; exuberant instrumental music alternating with soulful vocals.
Joining MHC is Robin Pluer, “Milwaukee’s Best Female Vocalist” (Shepherd Express) whose captivating sound and style pairs perfectly with the vintage jazz repertoire of the band.
Inside the Chivaree Ballroom, the historic dance hall at Fireman’s Park in Ixonia, Wisconsin, you can join swing dancers from across southeastern Wisconsin on the beautifully restored maple floor, or just relax with a beverage from the fully stocked bar as the sun sets.
